Matthew Kallio BPE, CSCS, R.Kin
Matthew has worked as a strength and conditioning specialist for 5 years with youth athlete development, amateur, collegiate, and professional athletes. His experience working in sport injury and injury rehabilitation led him to develop a keen interest in movement correction. Matthew specializes in developing athlete performance programs that correct asymmetries, enhance movement function, and ultimately improve athlete performance. Over the past 5 years Matthew has worked as a consultant for the University of Alberta, NAIT, Concordia University, Edmonton Energy, Rocky Mountain Hoops, and Royal Glenora’s Tennis, Squash, and Figure Skating programs.
“My philosophy is simple: Reduce incidence of injury, educate, and enhance performance. How I achieve that is through developing a solid physical foundation. Fundamentals get results; get mobile, get stable, and then begin to work on functional movement patterns.”
